A lot has happened this summer. My family made a move to a small town right outside of New Orleans. We bought a house with much needed space. When we lived in Hollygrove, we lived in a small, small house with so little work space. My husband and I have so much work space now and it is so refreshing. I feel like I can breathe and dance and paint with my whole body.
Due to the move, the amount of markets I am doing this Fall are very limited... I will return to the Peter Anderson Festival this year, in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. I really enjoyed this festival last year, even though it rained all weekend. We are hoping for beautiful weather this year. I will also be showing at Jackson Square, in the heart of NOLA, during October and November on various days. Feel free to email me if you are coming to the city and want to see my work. I will make sure to be showing that day. I also make daily posts on Instagram, so please follow me. (link) Hope to see familiar faces this Fall!

I took a little trip to the beach with my little family to enjoy a nice vacation soaking up the sun.. It was hard not to be inspired on the white sandy beaches. The seagulls would fly inches from my finger tips, riding the waves of the wind. Birds are so free. I have begun a new series of landscapes of Cotton Fields... they remind me of home. On the road , to the house I grew up in, I pass a field that changes from season to season, but when it is full bloom of cotton I can't help but pull over and enjoy the sight. I am surprised I have not painted them before, but everything has it's time... These are a few of the first Cotton Field pieces I have painted.. A lot of these are available on Etsy right now. I can't wait to see where they take me... Where does the dirt road take you? Also, welcome to my new bog! I will be updating this one way more... or at least I hope to =) |
